Founder

John is an Australian corporate leader with extensive experience in the mortgage broking and aggregation sector and is the founder of several businesses, including the Finsure Group. As the Founder of the Finsure group, John’s primary focus is on the strategic growth of the business.

John is also the Managing Director of Strategy & Growth Lending at MA Financial Group.

Prior to Finsure, John was the General Manager Sales & Distribution at Aussie Home Loans for ten years from 1994, before founding X Inc, which was a successful mortgage originator before its merger with the mortgage broking operations of Ray White in 2007. John founded several businesses before launching the Finsure group in 2011. John co-founded and is Chairman of the Aura Group Pty Ltd established in 2011 as a boutique corporate advisor and investment house.

CEO

Simon is a senior executive with over 20 years in the Financial Services industry and is currently the CEO of Finsure Group, one of Australia’s leading and fastest-growing aggregators. Simon’s extensive experience covers the area of Sales, Business Consultancy, project management, IT operations, and executive recruitment.

Before becoming the CEO of Finsure group, he worked as the General Manager for 7 years. He has demonstrated his ability and passion for leading and inspiring his people, contributing to business growth, and helping brokers succeed in their business.

Simon has a Bachelor of Engineering where he spent 8 years as Chief Operating Officer for one of Australia’s leading software providers in the Financial Services Industry. He was responsible for driving vertical products into the Mortgage Industry and was operationally responsible for the Microsoft Consulting division.

Head of Marketing

David has spent over 20 years working in finance and real estate, both in Australia and abroad. He brings valuable experience working across a number of disciplines in the financial services sector including, marketing, analytics, product development and strategic planning.

As Head of Marketing for the company, David is responsible for the overall strategy and execution of all marketing activities. He is well known for having a strong track record of building and enhancing the profile of many of Australia’s best-known brands within the financial services sector, including LJ Hooker Home Loans, Resimac and 1300HomeLoan.

David’s greatest strengths are his creativity, drive and leadership. He thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand the company’s reach. David holds a bachelors degree in Applied Finance. Furthermore David has served as a director on the boards of several companies delivering a uniquely commercial lens to the marketing challenges many companies face.

Head of Operations

Kon Shizas is an operations specialist with more than 20 years’ experience in the banking and financial services industry, specializing in product design and distribution, business operations, and aggregation support services, holding a number of executive leadership positions.

Kon’s passion is developing and implementing growth strategies, streamlining business processes, and integrating risk frameworks, while improving the customer and broker experience using data analytics and technology enhancements.

Head of Finance and Controlling

Maria Palmer has been part of the Finsure team since 2018.  She is an experienced finance and accounting executive who provides direction and leadership for the finance team, is responsible for business forecasting, planning and financial reporting and partners with the CEO with financial insights to help drive business strategy.  Having worked in the manufacturing and pharmaceutical industries in Australia, Germany and Ireland for large multi-national organisations, she brings valuable leadership, business and financial acumen to the team.

Maria is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland and holds a Batchelor of Commerce Degree from University College Dublin.

Head of People & Development

Anthony has over 30 years’ experience in the Financial Services and Tertiary Education sectors in Australia. Having worked intimately at four of Australia’s largest lenders, he has a breadth and depth of knowledge that has launched him to incredible success at Finsure.

As the proud creator of the highly esteemed and multi-award winning Finsure Broker Academy, Anthony transitioned into managing the Finsure Operations and Philippines Offshore Processing & Support, in addition to covering the educational requirements for the broader Finsure Broker Group and Finsure staff.

Most recently Anthony has been instrumental in the successful merger of Finsure to new parent entity MA Financial from a People & Development perspective.

Head of Compliance

Samantha has 18 years’ experience in compliance within the Insurance, Banking & Financial Services sectors.

She has developed Compliance frameworks and implemented a number of business processes through the use of offshore partners in both India and the Philippines during her time working at Westpac, Suncorp, GIO and AAMI insurance. At Finsure, she leads the Compliance team with a focus on the identification and implementation of business process improvements.

Head of Business Innovation

With a highly accomplished 20-year career spanning mortgage broking, financial services & operational management, she heads the Business Innovation Centre which provides support services to our broker members, ranging from Loan Processing, Virtual Assistant support, Recruitment and Lead Generation across Australia and the Philippines.

Fatima is a collaborative communicator focused on cultivating key stakeholder relationships and promoting synergy across business lines to drive innovation and comprehensive business strategies. In 2015 , Fatima founded a social enterprise and educational platform called The iWoman Project, an initiative dedicated to inspiring and empowering women to manage their financial future, which extends to her role as Vice Chairman at Women of Finsure.

Head of Data Analytics

An executive with 12 years of experience predominantly in the financial services sector.

Adin has a Bachelor of Commerce with Honors and has spent the last 11 years working in the field of analytics. During this time he was responsible for building business intelligence in multiple companies, implementing AI capability into back-of-house and customer-facing functions and driving data-driven and decision making culture.

Head of IT

Tristan Delaney is a dynamic and visionary technology leader with over 25 years of experience in the IT industry. He currently serves as the Head of IT at Finsure, where he is responsible for leading the company’s technology strategy and driving innovation across all business units.

Tristan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Advanced Computer Science, providing him with a deep technical understanding of the latest technologies and trends. He is known for his ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly solutions, and for his excellent communication and leadership skills.

Head of Technology

With 15+ years of experience in the Technology space, Kevin is an experienced technology leader with a proven track record of success. Kevin has a passion for innovation and a deep expertise in software engineering.

As the Head of Technology at Finsure Finance & Insurance, Kevin leads the Development, Testing, and Support teams, embedding new processes to improve team efficiency. Kevin has also scaled the technology platform, improving security, reducing technical debt, outages, and latency.

Executive Assistant

Rivka is an award-winning Executive Assistant with more than 15 years’ of experience coordinating, planning, and supporting daily operational, and administrative functions for C-suite Executives.

Rivka brings her expansive knowledge, skill set and experience from her international roles in London, Cape Town, New York and Sydney. Since returning to Australia Rivka was the Women In Finance winner in 2021 and Finalist in 2022.

Head of Sales – Northern Region

Noushig has a Bachelor of  Science and spent most of her career life in the banking and finance arena, specifically in third-party distribution.

Servicing the broker channel is her life passion and she has done this for the past 10 years. Experienced in lending, aggregation and business coaching, she prides herself on the success that her team and brokers achieve.

Head of Sales – Southern Region

Chris Patsouras has a career spanning 25 years in the finance sector with experience in banking, mortgage broking, sales coaching and business consulting.

Chris has worked for one of Australia’s top 4 banks where he held several positions in management, sales and coaching. He has also operated a successful mortgage broking business that specialises in residential mortgages and property development finance. Currently, Chris has dedicated himself to providing business support to Finsure’s mortgage brokers.

Head of Diversified & Asset Finance

Damien has been involved in Banking, Broking and related services since 2004 in a range of roles.  He has extensive experience in B2C and B2B; covering business development, business process design, project management, product design and optimisation.

Working for many types of organisations, from mutual to listed, retail, major banking, broking and aggregation has given Damien a broad foundation in the Australian financial system.  Apart from the machinations of the financial system, Damien has a big focus on trusted business relationships as part of his collaborative working style.

Head of Commercial

Jas is the Commercial Channels National manager for Finsure. He was previously a commercial banker for CBA, Australia’s largest bank for 5 years.

Jas has over 15 years of combined experience in commercial property finance, SME lending, private lending, and cashflow. At Finsure, he is responsible for growing the commercial channel, managing lender partner and broker expectations, Commercial wholesale product line development/implementation and White label product integration within the Finsure network.
